India – Kazhaksthan Uranium Deal

Kazhaksthan is one of the leading producers of Uranium in the world. This year (2009) Kazhak’s uranium production quota is set at 11,900 tons, and it plans to up its output to 18000 tons within the next two years. At this point, it would become the world’s largest producer of uranium, overtaking Canada and Australia

Currently, Kazhaksthan is keen on diversifying its uranium export portfolio and is keenly talking to India towards this.
