India and Indian Sugar Industry Has Massive CER Potential

India has the capacity of earning over US$ 100 billion by the trade of CERs, according to panelists at a seminar. The country has already realized CERs worth over $ 300 million
About 930 carbon credit projects are resting in Indian carbon trade basket, while 160-180 such projects are likely to be added every year. It was pointed out that the Indian sugar industry should make all efforts to encash the potential of CER trading.
