New Ventures India invests in sustainability oriented companies in India. The company has facilitated over $20 million in environment friendly Indian businesses

It is inviting business plans from environment friendly businesses; the last day for submissions is Aug 8, 2009.

The Call for Business Proposals intends to:

* Identify SMEs in sectors like renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean technologies, rapidly renewable material, certified wood, organic foods and fibers, sustainable fuels, eco tourism & any other business / product / services which promotes sustainability
* Connecting entrepreneurs with potential investors through investor forums and other targeted investor events which Serves as a platform for both entrepreneurs and investors in deal facilitation

Eligibility:

* Be registered in India as a for-profit business
* Have operations based in India
* Be legally structured to be able to receive equity investment
