Siemens to Expand Industrial Steam Turbine Production

Siemens planned to expand its industrial steam turbine production in the state of Gujarat for approximately EUR 40 million and export it to Asian and African markets. The company is already producing turbines turbines with ratings up to 45 MW have to date been produced in Vadodara.
In fiscal 2008, the company’s revenue was totaling almost EUR 19 billion, equivalent to around a quarter of the company’s total revenue. The Energy Sector alone had revenues of approximately EUR 22.6 billion. The company received new orders totaling approximately EUR 33.4 billion and posted a profit of EUR 1.4 billion.
