KPCL in Talks for a JV with Pvt Cos for Solar Power

KPCL is reportedly in talks with seven companies that are interested in forming a joint venture for investing in solar power plants, to the tune of about 100 MW.

These companies include well known names such as US-based Sun  Edison, AES Solar Energy, Hyderabad based Solar Semiconductor, Bangalore based Rajesh Global, Bharti Solar and Kiran Energy.

I keep hearing about such mega plans often, though most of these are in the MOU stage. KPCL has done a sterling job in implementing two 3 MW power plants, so they quite possibly know what they are talking about…
