29 February 2012 to 1 March 2012

Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

On 29 February 2012 Solarplaza will be organising ‘The Solar Future: India II’, a high-level market-oriented conference focused on the growing Indian solar PV market.
2011 has been a remarkable year for the Indian Solar PV Market. The country’s huge potential is finally being realised and the industry is rapidly developing, turning India into one of the world’s biggest PV markets. In just one year, India’s installed capacity has risen from 22 MW to almost 250 MW – and this is only just the beginning. The various bidding rounds issued by the national and regional governments have been met with unprecedented enthusiasm from national and international players. The number of projects is continually growing and India’s pipeline is expanding explosively. By 2014, India is expected to have 14.5 GW of installed solar PV capacity. Experts are even predicting that this amount will hit 33.4 GW by 2022.
