Deep dive into our work

AR/VR can be quite beneficial in the following vertices

Improved customer experience

  • Virtual/augmented reality-based in-store experience for product line ups, vehicle technical briefing, and a closer look at the vehicle interior.
  • Virtual guidance system for technologies like device pairing, smart cruise control, digital routings, Multimedia applications, etc.

Navigation systems and Display based on AR/VR

  • High definition maps are possible because of AR/VR technology along with satellite imaging and image processing technology to provide a holistic experience for the users.
  • Real-time display experience of Electric vehicle interior and exterior based on virtual showroom portals.

Autonomous vehicles

  • VR/AR-based simulation tools to create scalable, safe, efficient, and cost-effective models for EVs.

  • Using VR to provide an immersive experience of the vehicles for prospective buyers – Mahindra Electric, a part of the Mahindra Group recently launched a virtual reality (VR) based drive experience for the Mahindra e2oPlus electric vehicle (EV). According to Mahindra, the experience, enabled through VR headsets, highlights the technical features and focuses on the key attributes of the e2oPlus. “One of the main objectives of this initiative is to innovatively communicate all the technologically advanced features packed into the e2oPlus through an immersive experience of the vehicle, at select Mahindra dealerships. The campaign aims to expand the base of people who can experience electric mobility first hand, as well as delivering an advanced test drive experience to enable the faster adoption of EVs.
  • Hyundai Virtual How-to Guide – The Hyundai Virtual Guide can virtually identify and provide how-to information about the air filter, Smart Cruise Control, Bluetooth phone pairing, warning indicators, engine oil, brake fluid, clock, fuse box, and smart trunk.
  • AV / ADAS human simulations using VR – rFpro by using the latest VR headsets, large teams of test drivers may cost-effectively join your simulations. rFpro experiments and tests can span multiple simulators. This means that a team of human test drivers can join an AV or ADAS simulation – a proven way to detect CAV (connected autonomous vehicle) failure modes. Humans are random and unpredictable and therefore valuable for both training and testing ADAS and AV systems.
  • High definition maps – BlackBerry has expanded its strategic partnership with China-based Baidu to power next-generation autonomous and connected cars. These high-definition maps will run on Blackberry’s QNX Neutrino Real-time Operating System (RTOS) and will be mass-produced in the forthcoming GAC New Energy Aion models from the EV arm of GAC Group, the companies said in a statement.
  • High-fidelity simulation for self-driving – DRIVE Sim uses high-fidelity simulation to create a safe, scalable, and cost-effective way to bring self-driving vehicles to our roads. It taps into the computing horsepower of NVIDIA RTX™ GPUs to deliver a powerful, scalable, cloud-based computing platform, capable of generating billions of qualified miles for autonomous vehicle testing. DRIVE Sim can be connected to the AV stack under test in software-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop configurations.
  • EV Holographic AR Application – WiMi Hologram Cloud Inc announced the launch of its new electric vehicle (“EV”) holographic AR application product “WiMi HoloAR HUD”. WiMi has designed this product based on customer needs, and the functional modules of this product can be customized for such areas as optical processing, image processing, voice interactions, night vision imaging, AR, advanced driver-assistance systems (“ADAS”), cloud services, and more. Furthermore, this product can also help to process vehicle on-board diagnostics (“OBD”) data, access the background service of Tencent’s WeChat and maps service of Alibaba Group’s AutoNavi, and connect to phones via Bluetooth technology while supporting full voice control, big data analysis, tire pressure display, map services and other related settings of Mapbox to provide vehicle owners with safer driving experiences and other value-added automobile services.
  • VR/AR for EV salesAvataar.me partnered with MG Motor India for its new product line-up to create life-size AR compliant renders on Facebook and Instagram platforms, using Avataar’s AI platform. Also recently, Volkswagen also partnered with Avataar.me, for life-size 3D versions of its SUVW range. The experiences were brought to life in partnership with Facebook & Instagram during the recent 2020 Auto Expo.
  • Virtual vehicle Showroom – Honda Cars India introduces Virtual Showroom Customers to experience Brand Honda from the comfort of their homes. his platform will enable customers to discover and engage with Honda’s entire model range in a seamless digital experience from the comfort of their homes. The interactive showroom can be easily accessed through computer & smartphone browsers where customers can intuitively browse and explore the design, features, and technical details available for each model. The Virtual Showroom enhances customers’ field of vision and perspective with its 360-degree view of both the virtual space and the product. Bringing the showroom straight to the customer’s homes, it gives them the sense of flexibility and freedom to move around, interact with each and every vehicle the same way they would do at any of Honda’s physical showrooms.
  • Augmented Reality for vehicle display – Adloid announced its partnership with Tata Motors for the launch of the new Safari 2021 aided by augmented reality. The virtual experience using AR enables customers to have a real-life experience by rotating and expanding the vehicle’s size, looking closely at both its exterior and interior details, and taking pictures of the car with a high level of photorealism. It also brings a more comprehensive and improved vehicle research experience for online vehicle buyers.
