IIT Madras Energy Summit – Dec 14 – 16, IITM Research Park
Engaging with Indian industry for a low-carbon future.
Invitation to industry participants for physical or virtual attendance.
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras recently formed a Global Low-carbon Consortium. The aim is to leverage the intellectual horsepower inside IITM (and in future, possibly other Indian colleges too perhaps?) to drive industrial decarbonization. The focus is on energy to start with. (here’s a press report on this – https://lnkd.in/gZUG5gip )
The consortium’s goal is to dramatically decarbonize the Indian industrial sector. Super ambitious, you think? But why not? These guys have been consistently rated (6 years in a row) as the best engineering institution in the country. (A similar model exists at MIT – https://energy.mit.edu/ ).
To launch this consortium, IITM is holding a high profile Energy Summit that includes some exceptional talent from the Indian and global energy sector who will share their expertise. This will be held at the IITM Research Park (Taramani, behind IITM), Dec 14-16, and held conveniently in the evening to enable industry professionals to take part.
The event is hybrid – virtual and physical. There is no fee for attending the event.
Here’s the program agenda – https://lnkd.in/ge8qzZBZ and the event home page: https://lnkd.in/gjSyB68k
There is no limit on the of virtual attendees. But pre-registration is needed for both physical and virtual attendance. Those interested in attending the event can register here – Registration page: https://lnkd.in/gc2kvxya .
This will be an excellent opportunity for many industry players around the country to participate, even if virtually, and understand how they can be a part of this important consortium.
And if you are an industry stakeholder keen to understand more about this consortium and ways your company or industry can benefit from it, you can connect with Satyanarayanan Seshadri or Preeti Aghalayam on LinkedIn and take it forward.
Look forward to seeing you at this important summit.
