The return of the bullock to India’s farms
An eye opener and a must read for every policy maker, especially those who are overawed by high tech precision farming and other novelties. Take-away for me: Decarbonization efforts need to highly country specific.
While surely high tech and digital have significant roles to play in decarbonization of the farming sector (and perhaps most other sectors too – see our section on this here – https://lnkd.in/gwaCn229 ), so could something we all see on our roads but hardly give a moment’s thought – bullocks.
This excellent analysis by Down To Earth India shows why reviving bullocks in India could both aid small farmers as well as cut down CO2 emissions – https://lnkd.in/gMVRpiGR
