Project Co-ordinator/lead for national college sustainability contest
I’m assisting Prof Indumathi M. Nambi of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in putting together the Carbon Zero Challenge, an annual pan-India cleantech contest for college students and college-based startups held by IITM.
We are looking for a project leader for this event. This will be a long term position as this is an annual contest.
What are we looking for in the person?
1. An interest in climate action/sustainability solutions
2. Acquaintance with the basics of sustainable energy & environment, or the ability to learn quickly about these through quick reading and synthesis
3. You should like coordinating stuff, and in interacting with bright students, academia, and with industry professionals
4. Engineering background, MBA a bonus (neither of these two is a must, though, for someone who is good at the rest)
5. At least 2-3 years experience, with at least some of this in management/coordination roles
6. You should like to work in an academic environment
Work will be enriching, some highlights:
1. You get to learn exciting climate tech innovations around the country
2. Interact with some of the brightest college and univ. students in India
3. Interact with some really intelligent folks within IIT – students, faculty and also alumni

5. Get trained in understanding and evaluating sustainability entrepreneurship, and in building startups
