Solar power to travel across continents
When completed, the ambitious 4000+ Km Sun Cable will transport power from solar farms put up in vast lands available in Australia to land starved, power-hungry Singapore.
Extending this logic, is it possible that solar could one day be transmitted from one part of the world where it is day to another where it is night?
Absolutely.
In fact, an ambitious program One Sun One World One Grid launched by the International Solar Alliance envisions a transnational power grid that can supply solar & wind power from anywhere in the world to any other place.
