Is car a ridiculous way to travel? – Today’s CLIDEMY climate poll

Imagine someone tells you that the hand bag you carry will weigh 20 Kgs, while the stuff in it that you carry will weigh max 1 Kg.

You would consider that ridiculous – no one will have a 20 Kg container to carry a 1 Kg item.

But that’s precisely what a billion cars are doing today on the world’s roads. Each transports a human weighing 75 Kg, but a car weighs on average 1.5 tons (1500 Kg) – 20 times the “item” transported.
