L&T & H2Carrier sign MoU for support towards P2XFloater, a mobile green ammonia production facility, to be used for industrial applications.

Here’s an article posted in Mercom India that talks about the partnership of L&T and H2Carrier for GH2 production.

According to the article,

  • L&T has partnered with H2Carrier for the design and fabrication of electrolyzers, nitrogen generation plant, and an ammonia synthesis unit.
  • This collaboration is a significant step towards the development of green hydrogen projects in the transportation sector, offering a clean and sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels.

Here are some examples of innovative floating production technologies similar to H2Carrier’s P2XFloater for producing green hydrogen and ammonia:

CyaNH3 Floating Ammonia Production

CyaNH3 is developing a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel capable of producing up to 15,000 tonnes of green ammonia per day. The design leverages proven technologies from the offshore oil and gas industry to enable large-scale ammonia production at sea.

Aker Solutions Floating Hydrogen Plant

Aker Solutions has proposed a floating hydrogen production plant concept that can be co-located with offshore wind farms. The modular design allows for scalable hydrogen production, with the ability to add more electrolyzers as needed. The floating platform design is based on Aker’s experience with offshore oil and gas facilities.

Wison Offshore & Marine Floating Green Ammonia Plant

Wison Offshore & Marine, a Chinese engineering company, has unveiled a floating green ammonia production plant design. The 500 MW facility can produce up to 300,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year. It is designed to be towed to locations with abundant offshore wind or solar resources to produce green ammonia for export.

Siemens Gamesa Floating Green Hydrogen

Siemens Gamesa is developing a floating wind turbine platform that can produce green hydrogen. The design integrates electrolyzers into the floating foundation to enable co-located hydrogen production. This allows the hydrogen to be produced and stored offshore before being transported to shore.
