Jakson Group signed MoU with Government of Rajasthan; hopes that project will reduce cost and make green hydrogen competitive.

According to the article,
- Jakson Group plans to invest US$ 2.8 billion in a green ammonia and green hydrogen project in Rajasthan, India.
- The project includes a 3,65,000 tons per annum green hydrogen and green ammonia plant, along with an integrated hybrid renewable power complex.
- The Government of Rajasthan has provided support by facilitating necessary registrations, approvals, clearances, and incentives for the project.
- Jakson Green aims to reduce the production cost of green hydrogen and green ammonia by more than 50% to make it competitive.

- NTPC’s Green Hydrogen Projects:
NTPC, India’s largest power utility, has announced plans to set up green hydrogen production facilities at its various power stations. This includes a 5 MW green hydrogen plant at NTPC Vindhyachal, a 1.25 MW plant at NTPC Kawas, and a 1 MW plant at NTPC Dadri. - Indian Oil’s Green Hydrogen Initiatives:
Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest refiner, is planning to set up green hydrogen plants at its refineries in Mathura and Panipat. The company aims to produce green hydrogen to meet its refinery needs and reduce carbon emissions. - Reliance’s Green Hydrogen Plans in Tamil Nadu:
Reliance Industries has announced plans to invest in green hydrogen and renewable energy projects in Tamil Nadu. The company aims to offer affordable green hydrogen as a clean fuel alternative. - Green Hydrogen Hub at Paradip Port, Odisha:
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has identified Paradip Port in Odisha as one of the three major ports to be developed as a green hydrogen hub in India by 2030.
