Indian officials say the government of Gujarat state is on the verge of signing several wind agreements.

The government reportedly is interested in expanding its renewable energy sector and is on track to talk with a handful of international renewable companies at the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, state officials tell the Economic Times.

Preliminary agreements for 50- to 100-megawatt wind parks could be signed with Solitaire Energy, Vestas Wind Energy Technology, Suzlon Gujarat Windpark, Next Gen Syndicate, Astonfield Solar, Wellspun Urja, Enercon India Ltd., Moser Baer Energy, Caritas International and Swiss Park Vanija, Abellon Bio-energy Ltd. or others.
