E.ON AG, Germany’s biggest utility, aims to increase generation capacity from renewable resources such as the wind and sun and may seek investments in India and China, a company official said today.
“We are not constraining ourselves to our home market, which we consider Europe,” Frank Mastiaux, chief executive officer of E.ON’s renewable-energy unit, said at a conference in Abu Dhabi. “If an opportunity develops in India or China, we’ll be able to go there.”
European utilities are expanding in renewable-power generation worldwide as they seek to benefit from government incentives for cleaner energy production and reduce output of carbon dioxide, the main gas blamed by scientists for global warming. E.ON is already building wind farms across Europe.

WE need to take some of these billions in bail out bucks and bail America out of it's dependence on foreign oil. The historic high price of gas this past year did serious damage to our economy and society. WE should never allow others to have that much power over our economy again. I wish every member of congress would read this book too.
