National Thermal Power Corp (NTPC) has planned to increase its production capacity through a sustainable energy mix. For this, it is exploring the renewable energy sector. The firm has targeted to generate 3,300 MW power in the financial year 2009-10 which also includes power generation form renewable sources.
In this backdrop, to fund its super-and ultra-critical power projects under the “green” banner, NTPC is looking to Japan’s Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) (Tokyo) for a $500 million loan.
