L’Oréal on a green sciences transition

Global cosmetics and beauty major L’Oréal announced that by 2030, 95% of ingredients used will be derived from sustainable sources.

L’Oréal announced that they will rely more on plant-based sources, abundant minerals and circular processes for their ingredients.

We are talking about the world’s largest cosmetics company selling consumer products worth over $30 billion every year. In addition to becoming a role model that could spur other companies in the industry to follow suit, such a change from a global leader could set off a dynamo effect along its entire supply chain.

Something really worth looking forward to in the green chemicals and green materials space.
