The temptation to purchase five cheap dresses for the price of one quality dress can sway even gods.
We are mere mortals.
Is it any wonder that fast fashion has taken off the world over, as we exhibit ourselves offline and online clothed in a spectrum of dresses, which many times last less than a few weeks?
Most of these cheap apparel end up in landfills, rot for a while and end up emitting methane or CO2. Even those that get recycled have a much higher carbon footprint than apparel that are used for a long duration.
As we see the rise and rise of brands such as ZARA SA, SHEIN, UNIQLO, which is happening in parallel with the rise and rise in concerns about global warming, it feels pertinent to ask the question:
What is the best way to get rid of fast fashion?
And this is today’s Clidemy Poll question.
