Industrial cluster focus for decarbonization

It’s not everyday that a mere mortal and Bill Gross think alike, but this is one such rare occasion.

Whenever I visited industrial clusters/estates as part of my consulting assignments, I used to think, why aren’t the powers that be having an industrial cluster strategy for decarbonization? Sure, it was happening in silos – many rooftop solar companies I know have special focus on targetting industrial zones for instance – but only starting a year or two back, I started seeing real movement towards this in national policy documents – I remember seeing this for UK at least.

Bill Gross, who among many things, also runs Heliogen, lays out his views in a fairly lucid manner in this post why he thinks it is a super good idea to have a cluster strategy for decarbonizing hard to abate sectors
