HPS’ technology for green hydrogen storage in buildings to be first of its kind; company leading the way in decarbonizing building emissions.

As per the article posted in Hydrogen Central,

  • Home Power Solutions (HPS) is providing Green Hydrogen – Patented HPS Technology, which is the world’s first green hydrogen-based, year-round electricity storage system for buildings available on the market, with the product name Picea.
  • 17 patents have been filed so far ( 5 of those in 2022 alone).
  • For the first time, homes and businesses can be supplied with CO2 -free electricity from their own roofs all year round.

Buildings are a major contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for around 30-40% of total emissions. Several companies are developing innovative green hydrogen storage solutions for buildings to help mitigate these emissions. Here are some notable examples:

Redeem Solar Technologies: This startup specializes in solar-powered hydrogen production, combining photovoltaic cells with electrolysis in a single panel. Their technology can be used in buildings to produce hydrogen on-site, minimizing reliance on external energy sources.

Lhyfe: Based in France, Lhyfe produces and supplies green and renewable hydrogen. They are pioneering floating hydrogen production sites, which can be integrated into various energy systems, including buildings.
