The conference aims to provide greater insights and clarity on the future of the Energy System, based on existing trends, challenges, and opportunities. Participants are introduced to concepts such as an ecological footprint and ecological accounting, green building, and the need for environmental protection to expose them to various clean and green energy choices in different contexts. As a result, they are well-positioned to optimize the use of energy utilized in their daily lives and immediate environments. The conference also hosts a workshop making the participants aware of the various green energy measures and green certifications available in our surroundings to enhance the way of reaching net zero emissions.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by the 193 Member States of the United Nations at the General Assembly in September 2015 includes 17 Goals and 169 targets. Our conference sets out an ambitious vision that integrates its economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The 17 SDGs help countries gauge the starting point from which they set out towards a new collective vision of sustainable development agenda outlined in 2030 to analyze and implement.
In line with the above, our institution also wants to create awareness of all the SDGs through this conference and incorporate them on an institutional level in addition to the already existing practices.
