Renault Nissan's sustainable solutions to tackle water shortage in TN villages - The Renault Nissan Automotive India carmaker is investing in sustainable solutions to tackle the problem of water shortage in villages surrounding its Oragadam factory by revitalising 10 lakes and ponds in the Kancheepuram district in partnership with multiple NGOs.

Tangedco gets Rs 3.6 crore to boost energy efficiency in TN - The Union government’s Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has paid out 3.6 crore to Tangedco for the financial year to improve energy equipment in the state at places such as schools, primary health centres, agriculture and other such areas.
Looks good, but Rs 3.6 crores looks like a small dollop compared to the extent of efforts needed for large scale energy efficiency improvements.
