The battery-operated garbage collection vehicles of Chennai Corporation are not just making collection easy for workers but are helping in reducing emissions. the corporation has 5,863 battery vehicles for garbage collection that saves 3,000 tonne of carbon emission a day. One vehicle reduces emission by about 0.5 tonne.
