Tamil Nadu secured the fourth place in a national ranking for solar power capacity prepared on September 30 with an installed solar power capacity of 6,200 MW. A senior TANGEDCO officer said that TN has set a 9000 MW solar power goal for the year 2023. If that goal is achieved, TN would have the largest solar power capacity in the southern states.
