By some ambitious estimates by 2050, nearly 80% of India’s hydrogen is projected to be ‘green’ — produced by renewable electricity and electrolysis. To get us there, some ambitious partnerships are needed too.
A partnership between an oil company (IOC), infrastructure services firm (L&T), and a renewable power plant developer (ReNew Power) is one among them.
The idea is that IndianOil and L&T will together manufacture and sell electrolyzers used in the production of Green Hydrogen.
The green power for electrolysis will come from ReNew's solar and wind power plants.
