Solitaire Energy, Vestas Wind Energy Technology, Suzlon Gujarat Windpark, Next Gen Syndicate, Astonfield Solar, Wellspun Urja, Enercon India Ltd, Moser Baer Energy, Caritas International and Swiss Park Vanija, Abellon Bio-energy Ltd are the few companies which will sign MOU in the renewable energy sectors, especially in wind with the Government of Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit (VGGIS)-2009.

The companies are expected to sign agreements for setting up power plant projects in renewable energy sector for generation of 50 to 1,000 MW

The conventional power sector is also expected to attract major companies like L&T Power Development Limited, who is scheduled to sign MoU for setting up 1,680 MW coal-based power plant at Junagadh or Hazira, besides Shapoorji Pallonji Energy for a 2000 MW plant, GMR for 2000 MW power plant and Adani power for 2000 MW power plant at Dholera.
