Mixed Waste to Energy for Bill Gates Foundation

We did a comprehensive study of the Indian waste to energy sector for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (USA), who were looking at funding research organizations and research units in India involved in the waste to energy sector.

This exercise involved our team meeting a wide range of companies, research organizations, academia and industry experts to understand the potential and challenges in deriving energy from sewage waste, municipal solid waste and mixed waste. We also assisted the Foundation in the preparation of the detailed technical and process document that detailed the diverse pathways for waste to energy in India and the characteristics of each pathway.

Our efforts resulted in the Foundation getting a hands-on experience with this sector. In addition, it resulted in the Foundation identifying and meeting experts and organizations in India who they could consider for funding in future.
