Bangalore-based Reva sells its cars in 24 countries globally and aims to double its presence to 50 by 2011-12.
In its bid to layout an aggressive growth plan, it is looking for partners in the US and Europe for setting up contract manufacturing facilities for its electric vehicles. “We are at exploratory stages for setting up contract manufacturing facilities in overseas markets, including one in the US with Bannon Auto. No deals have been finalised so far, but we expect some positive results soon,” Reva Electric Car Company President (Sales & Marketing) R Chandramouli told PTI. He, however, declined to give details about the likely investments, size of the plants, branding and other issues.
