Amul Dairy, Anand has been selected for certificate of merit award for the year 2009 as a part of ‘National Energy Conservation Award – 2009’ constituted by Ministry of Power, Government of India.
Amul has introduced several energy conservation projects such as replacement of energy intensive old boilers with fully automatic new boilers, replacement of furnace oil with Natural Gas for clean and energy efficient environment, power generation from Natural Gas, Installation of Vapour Absorption system to generate refrigeration through waste heat from Gas engine apart from several other measures such as installation of frequency drives, modification of process lines to name a few.
