Just when folks all over (including at EAI – here and here) are trying to figure out how to reduce diesel consumption, a combination of calamities – poor monsoon and the recent blackout in north India – have ensured that the use of diesel has only skyrocketed, says this news report from Platts
The good news from this bad news could be that people could start taking renewables a bit more seriously than they had done earlier. Not that renewables can completely replace diesel or the grid, but that it can provide at least a partial solution for either of these. Now, that’s a good enough beginning, isn’t it?
