Here is an interesting interview with Rajasthan Chief Secretary CS Rajan in The Financial Express in which he mentions that while the state had set itself a 25 GW target for solar within the next few years, they already have MoUs for 36 GW, from just 6 companies – Adani (10 GW), Reliance (6 GW), IL&FS (5 GW), Essel (4 GW), SunEdison & Azure.
Sure, we all know how much MoUs are worth, but at least is shows some serious intentions.
What do you think?
I am happy for Rajasthan. This is a state which was simply not on anyone’s investment radar until just a few years back, and now it has the chance to the rockstar.
Let’s hope there are a few more such states that crop up owing to renewable and sustainable energy opportunities.
